When shopping in the supermarket, you can always
see tons of cleaning detergents neatly arranged on shelves. While
you are still deciding which brand name of dish detergent you
are going to buy, have you ever thought about making one by yourself?
Here are some useful tips to help you.
1) You want to clean your toilet?
Mix baking soda with vinegar or use 1/2 cup bleach
2) You want your furniture look brand
new? Mix 1 teaspoon lemon juice with 1 pint vegetable oil and
use it the polish your furniture
3) You want to prevent mold?
Use white vinegar or add ¾ cup chlorine bleach into 1 gallon
of water
4) You want to clean the greasy oven?
Place a small glass container filled with ½ cup
ammonia in the oven and close the door. Allow it to stand overnight.
5) You want to clean ceramic tiles?
Add ¼ cup baking soda, ½ cup white vinegar,
and 1 cup ammonia into one gallon warm water
6) You want to clean the painted wall and woodwork?
Put ¼ cup ammonia into 1 gallon of warm water
or put ¼ cup liquid dish detergent into 1 gallon of water
7) You want to rub off the dirts?
Use baking soda
8) You want to clean glass or mirrors?
Mix 3 Tablespoons ammonia, 1 Table spoon white
vinegar with 3/4 cup of water or combine 1/4 cup white vinegar
and 1 quart of water. Wipe dry with newspaper

Common sources:
Baking soda: instead of using for your cakes,
you can use baking soda to clean, deodorize, polish and remove
stains.
Bleach: It can whiten anything and remove mold
and mildew. But keep it away from your children.
Cornstarch: good for cleaning carpets and rugs
Ketchup: good for cleaning copper
Lemon juice: whitens and reduces grease and stains
Salt: use it to scour off dirt
Ammonia: cleans windows and remove wax
White vinegar: remove grease & wax, cleans
and shines glass, mirrors and metals.
*never mix bleach and ammonia together because
it will cause a serious chemical reaction.
